DJ Balance began spinning vinyl in Los Angeles California. Balance learned how to use her turntables as an instrument at the Scratch DJ Academy LA, where she studied under some of LA’s finest DJ’s (DJ Shortee, Faust, Matter, Denkym, DJ Hapa, Mr.Choc of the Beat Junkies..). She jumped right into the music scene, and has played at many venues and private events in Los Angeles including: Several all lady line ups, the Whiskey a go go, Adidas, Bloomingdales, Instrumental Agency, Toms Shoes, Scratch DJ Academy, Stonesthrow, Trainwreck Crew, Filter Magazine, Bagavagabonds…and more.. Balance resides in her hometown Salt Lake City, Utah. She mixes and scratches underground and old school hip hop, funk, house, breaks, electro, down tempo, and whatever else fits the vibe.
