Like a Kid in a Candy store DJ Orator anxiously turns on his turntables to rock another killer set of hip hop funk and soul to club goers in exclusive venue’s in California. It was here over eight years ago where Orator began his journey to become a DJ by starting up his own college Hip Hop radio show at Cal State Long Beach called “A List Radio”. He dedicated his air time strictly to his love for Hip Hop music and before you knew it the fire had been set and it would quickly soon spread.

That Same Year DJ Orator landed a position with the World Famous ‘Wake Up Show’ on 92.3 The Beat KKBT fm Los Angeles. Here he was able to take his love of music to greater heights by interning and working with Power 106 fm greats like King Tech, DJ Revolution, Carmalita and MTV’s Sway. In 2001 Orator left the station and adopted KPFK 90.7 fm as his new home where he currently DJ’s and co hosts KPFK’s Divine Forces Radio every Friday night.

DJ Orator’s diverse love of several types of music gives himself a unique style of mixing, bringing pop, funk, soul, hip hop and indie comfortably into mainstreams changing world. In 2002 this skilled and adaptable DJ quickly received widespread recognitions in LA and was named 100.3 KKBT fm’s most up and coming DJ of the year. He has gone on to rock turntables for Hip Hop’s legendary KRS-ONE. He also is the official tour DJ for Brother J of X-Clan and has been the opening DJ at the Rock the Bells and We The People Music Festivals. He has played with George Clinton and his Parliament and most recently he’s shared the tables with Vegas greats, The Bargain DJ Collective in downtown Las Vegas.

Just like the beginning for DJ Orator, he continues to keep the fire in 2008 – PLEASE proceed with caution or you might get burned.
